INTR0DUCING WILLIAM MICHAEL WALLACE

On Saturday May 8th I went to the hospital to be induced at 6 am. As it turns out you can clench and fight contractions, and that is what I did. So after some staydol and attempted rest I was still fighting the contractions and wasn't dilating. My doctor said he could tell I was fight the contractions and that maybe I should consider an epidural so that I could relax and rest. Well an hour and a half later I had gone from just barely 5cm to almost 10. Then it was time to push. They didn't even have the room set up yet. I pushed for about 12 minutes through about 4 contractions and then he was out! He started crying right away and his daddy cut the cord. I had a very easy birth and it was beautiful. I know I wanted a natural birth, but I just couldn't do it; and I am totally ok with that. We never even gave anyone the birth plan, it totally slipped my mind.

He was 9lbs 7 oz and 20.5in long.

Now I'm done telling stories so here are some pictures of our amazing baby boy.

This is me right after I got my epidural I think.

This is the little man. He really isn't very little though.

He looks pretty mad.

First family picture.
This is his first night home.

This is us learning how to use the Moby Wrap. That thing is awesome.
I don't really have a lot more to say since this took and hour to write with him laying on me.
Love you guys and thank you for reading my blog. The real adventure starts here.

  3. What a beautiful baby boy! Congratulations.

Thank you for sharing your birth story. you are a strong girl trying to go natural during an induction. It sounds like you made the right decision getting that epidural when you did.

    Congrats again!
