Vaccines

So I am supposed to get the H1N1 vaccine on Monday. Well I was doing some research and I am really not sure this is in my best interest. It seems to me that the FDA has not had time to do adaquate testing on it and the pservative it contains has merury in it. I am not supposed to have a lot of mercury its bad whn you are pregnant. I am really uneasy about this. I don't want something in my body that I don't trust. I just don't. At the same time, I can't get sick and lose the baby. I'm really at a loss. I don't know if I can build my immune system up enough to not need the shot. I think I might talk to my doctor again before I get it to ask her what she thinks. My pregnancy is picture perfect and I am in awesome shape as far as the pregnanct is concerned. So maybe I can bypass this crap.

  1. I don't blame you for being concerned, I would be worried too. Most dr.'s are pretty closeminded when it comes to avoiding vaccines and such so keep that in mind.

  3. If I was pregnant (thank God I'm not) or had a small child (thank God I don't), I would not get the vaccine. I agree with you Sarah, I don't believe there has been enough research. I don't care what the "experts" say... thimerosol is a terrible additive. I'll bet the experts never had a child on the autistic spectrum. Stick to your guns. They may pressure you, but they can not make you get the vaccine. Just my 2 cents worth from your "Aunt" Susie. :)
